About Me

My name is Julie Lang and I am the creator of Salt and Canvas Paint Parties! I am a teacher, a mom, a sister, a daughter and the significant other of a man who is my number one cheerleader. I created this company because I desire to provide a space for people to come together and be "free" and just "be" for a few hours. Laugh, talk, drink and eat while creating a masterpiece, imperfections and all!

"Create as if no one will judge you-because the truest art is born in the moment you forget you were ever being watched"- Julie Lang

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be an experienced painter?

Not at all. Paint parties are designed for everyone, especially beginners. You'll be guided step by step, but the real goal is to make it your own. There is no right way to paint here. We encourage you to set aside expectations and just create. Whatever ends up on your canvas is exactly what it should be.

What exactly is a paint party and how much do they cost?

A paint party is a community painting experience where everyone creates the same piece — but each one turns out beautifully unique. All supplies are provided, including canvas, paint, and brushes. Ticket prices vary by event, so check the current event listing for details and to reserve your seat.

Can I choose what I paint, or is it pre-selected?

Each event features a featured painting chosen in advance, so everyone works on the same piece together. That shared experience is part of the magic — watching how differently each person's canvas turns out is one of the best parts of the night. Keep an eye on upcoming events to find a painting that speaks to you.

Are snacks, drinks or meals included?

Food and drink options vary by event and venue. Some events are hosted at restaurants or bars where you can order directly, and others may include light refreshments. Check the details on each event listing so you know what to expect — and plan accordingly!

Do I need to book in advance and what is the cancellation policy?

Yes — seats are limited and events do fill up, so booking in advance is strongly encouraged. (Add your specific cancellation policy here — e.g., refunds within X days, transferable tickets, etc.)

Can someone host a paint party at home or a venue of their choosing?

Private paint parties are something we are actively working on bringing to you. If you are interested in hosting one for a birthday, girls' night, corporate event, or any special occasion, reach out through our contact page and we will let you know as soon as it is available.
